What is a Vision Statement?

Our Glossary defines it as "A declaration of where you are headed – your future state. To formulate a picture of what your organization’s future makeup will be and where the organization is headed."

According to Wikipedia, a vision statement outlines what the organization wants to be. It concentrates on the future. It is a source of inspiration. It provides clear decision-making criteria.
